Even the creator of Sizeten.com agrees it is a pretty odd addiction and incurable disease. He can't explain why his closet space at home is consumed by shoe boxes stacked to the ceiling. Since the 3rd grade in 1985, sneakers have grabbed his attention. When his feet stopped growing in high school, Andrew began to stockpile Air Jordan and various Nike sneakers thanks to his parent's pocket book. They would never make it onto his size 10 feet and would age gracefully in their shoe boxes. With the birth of the internet and on-line marketplaces, he found that he was not alone. There were others, just like him. For the next several years, the collection grew and the hobby became intense. Today, he isn't hesitant to admit he is addicted to sneakers. In 2002, Andrew launched Sizeten.com and offered rare and hard to find retro sneakers to consumers all over the world. The latest version of Sizeten was introduced in the winter of 2006. The new Sizeten fills the gap on the internet and offers a medium for collectors to display their sneakers in customizable image galleries. Visitors to the site can browse images, view slideshows and post comments. Sizeten.com creates a true social network amongst the myriad of sneaker freaks. Andrew has turned this hobby into a lifestyle. "Sneakers are my life", he explains. Analyzing the sneaker industry and identifying market trends developed into a skill set. Today, he offers consulting services to sports marketing firms and sneaker manufacturers. "My inspiration to study this market is derived from the consumer demand. The sneaker has had a major impact on popular culture. It has become one of the most recognizable fashion symbols on and off the street."
